Rainbow Cookies

Rainbow Cookies by Sweet Threads Clothing Co on Everyday Party Magazine

Rainbow Cookies

I love making memories with my kiddos in the kitchen.  But, I also love letting them do their own thing and allowing them to create on their own. These Rainbow Cookies by Sweet Threads Co are the perfect mix of making memories in the kitchen, while letting the littles do their own thing! Oh, and they are simple!

From Sweet Threads:

Spring is just around the corner! These rainbow sugar cookies are an easy and fun treat for spring parties, rainbow themed birthdays and St Patrick’s Day! My kids jumped right in on decorating these and your kids can too! Let’s get started!

Start with 2 small bags of rainbow colored candies. We used Skittles and separated them by color in little bowls. The kids loved this part!! You can also use M&Ms or Sixlets. Then mini marshmallows for “clouds” and blue frosting for the “sky”. I used Pillsbury Funfetti but you can certainly make your own. Lastly, one dozen sugar cookies. I’m all about quick and easy around here so I used refrigerated dough but you can also make them from scratch.

Next, comes the fun part! I totally let the kids go from here. I did help them with the frosting and did one cookie for them as an example and then they went to town!

And that’s it! Sweet, simple and a kid friendly activity! Enjoy!!
