Growing up in Florida, this weekend is a big deal, regardless of whether or not you are a race fan. The Daytona 500 is the unofficial start of the race season, and I know plenty of people that love it!
I haven’t been to a race since I was really young, and I am not even sure it was a NASCAR race…I prefer to watch any sport live, so I’m not a huge fan of racing…maybe if I saw one in person? My second son, however, he is a HUGE sports nut, any sport, any athlete, any way…
So, we set up a small table of snacks for the race last weekend, and I used these free printables. It wasn’t anything fancy, just something fun for the kids.
I made a fill in the blank racing party invitation, favor tags, 2″ tags, and write on food tents. We served pizza, chips in un-used disposable oil funnels, chocolate donuts, and drinks. I decorated the table with some checkered flag bunting we had in the garage, and some un-used lawn mower tires. The boys had their friends over for part of the race, and when they left we gave them a favor bag with a Hot Wheels Race Car
