Back to School Snack Table

Back to School Snack Table. So, my boys have been back in school for a week now. We are slowly getting back into routine…but I wanted to surprise the guys with a small after school snack table. It was a simple table set up, and the kids were so excited to see a party table set up after school just for them.

I started by decorating my rustic wooden chalkboard with classroom signs from Oriental Trading Company. These were the inspiration for the whole table. I just leaned it against the wall. I made a felt apple banner with my Sizzix, using Laura Kelly’s Apple Die #2 and Kunin Group Felt. I hot glued the apples to some twine, and tacked them to the wall above the chalkboard. I used a white table cloth on the table. I kept the snacks simple, and bought store bought cupcakes, served fresh fruit, and I made simple caramel apple popcorn for the boys to munch on. I also printed up a few coloring pages for the boys to color while they snacked.

When the boys were done, I had some cute little stuffed apple treats (also from Oriental Trading Company) for them. I was a great way to celebrate the end of a whirlwind first week of school!
