Back to School Snack Table

Back to School Snack Table.  So, my boys have been back in school for a week now.  We are slowly getting back  into routine…but I wanted to surprise the guys with a small after school snack table.  It was a simple table set up, and the kids were so excited to see a party table set up after school just for them. 

I started by decorating my rustic wooden chalkboard with classroom signs from Oriental Trading Company.  These were the inspiration for the whole table.  I just leaned it against the wall.  I made a felt apple banner with my Sizzix, using Laura Kelly’s Apple Die #2 and Kunin Group Felt.  I hot glued the apples to some twine, and tacked them to the wall above the chalkboard.  You can find more Back to School decor and supplies on Oriental Trading Co. too! 

I used a white table cloth on the table.  I kept the snacks simple, and bought store bought cupcakes, served fresh fruit, and I made simple caramel apple popcorn for the boys to munch on.  I also printed up a few coloring pages for the boys to color while they snacked.  

When the boys were done, I had some cute little stuffed apple treats (also from Oriental Trading Company) for them. I was a great way to celebrate the end of a whirlwind first week of school!
