40 and Fabulous Birthday Celebration
I was recently sent this fun 40 and Fabulous Birthday Celebration by Hoopla Events and I just love the bright colors and fun vibe! From the wrapping on the packages to the bold polka dot printed pillows and the brightly striped cake, it’s all so vibrant, and fun. The added black and gold tone colors help keep the celebration modern, sleek, and mature too.

Having turned the big 4-0 myself last year, I recognize the fun of celebrating such a milestone birthday in style. I am excited to share with you a glamorous 40th birthday party I styled, inspired by a super chic invitation and home décor from Tiny Prints. The gorgeous color palette of pink, gold, silver, black and white lent itself to stylish party decorations and gorgeous treats captured by the talented Lauren Oliver Photography.
Here at Hoopla Events, we love styling an event that coordinates from start to finish. For us, every extraordinary event begins with a fabulous invitation. An invitation often dictates the theme and color palette and drives important planning choices like décor, food, entertainment and more. It is also the first impression guests have about an event. We absolutely loved the confetti invitation from Tiny Prints. It was the perfect amount of sophistication and glamour for a 40th celebration! (Notice the custom address labels? They made addressing the invitations simple! Plus, they create that polished look, perfect for a first impression.)
Creating a comfortable, chic and coordinated atmosphere for guests is another big party priority here at Hoopla Events. Adding that stylish and personalized look to the lounge area was so easy with custom pillows and a trendy photo frame (Tiny Prints), lovely glitter votive candles for ambience (Always The Occasion), and a touch of festiveness with a personalized “40 and fabulous” banner from Made by a Princess. Tassel garlands from Fancy and Fold added to our jumbo balloons (available in our Hoopla Events Etsy shop) helped anchor the space and made for one lovely lounge area!
We loved our chosen venue: Oly Rock Fish Grill. Whether you are meeting up for happy hour or enjoying a dinner out, the quaintness of this location and friendliness of the people make it a perfect place for get-togethers. We were able to set up a custom space for dining. Beautiful florals from Stems Floral Design provided a lovely centerpiece for our table. Sparkling votives dressed up the space and helped tie it to the lounge area. Each place setting had napkins tied off in gold glittery ribbon and gold paper straws with custom straw flag toppers from Swish Printables . Mini pedestal cupcake stands housed a sweet cupcake wrapped in couture cupcake wrappers from our Etsy shop and topped with glittered cupcake toppers from Made by a Princess.
A wonderful way to thank guests is gifting them their own notepads! Tiny Prints designed these beauties which coordinate with several other items featured in our party. They make the perfect party favor!
In addition to a chic lounge area and stylish dining experience, a beautiful dessert table was styled atop a black sequin runner. To tie in our 3 party areas, we incorporated more of the sparkly votive candle holders. A “happy birthday” banner by Swish Printables was hung on the wall to anchor the table. Beautiful bouquets of flowers by Stems Floral Design were displayed on each side of a stunning two tiered centerpiece cake by Cakeitecture Bakery. Don’t you love the sleek, modern look with a touch of gold? More scrumptious cupcakes made their dessert table debut (toppers by Made by a Princess) across from preppy pink cake pops by Morsel’s Party Planning (bling sticks from Made by a Princess). White trays were lined with printed patterned paper and displayed mouthwatering sugar cookies from Auntie Bea’s and invitation coordinating mini Oreos from Bella’s Bakery. I finished off the dessert table with trendy ceramic number and letter dishes from my shop and filled them with color coordinating candy from Oriental Trading Company.
The fireplace got a little makeover with more beautiful flower arrangements and a gift and favor display area. Did you notice the custom gift wrap? We were thrilled to discover Tiny Prints even has coordinating gift wrap! Swish Printables made us a custom favor sign inviting guests to take home one of the custom notepads as a thank you gift!
What a lovely way to celebrate a 40th birthday party! Cheers to many more years!
