My boys have always been really sensitive to the sounds of fireworks displays. We rarely went to parks to watch them on the Fourth of July when they were younger. But, a few years ago, we bought an old golf cart, and the bigger boys drove the younger boys around the neighborhood to watch the city’s fireworks display. We live far enough away that the sounds don’t bother them, but close enough to see the full show. They loved it so much, it’s become their new annual tradition, and of course, I have to have a fully decorated Fourth of July Golf Cart for them to roll through the ‘hood in!
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
4th of July Celebrations
Even though my boys don’t love the 4th of July, I really love it. Like, I REALLY love the 4th! So, I celebrate every year.
I have so many great post for this patriotic holiday! From, a 4th of July Printable Coloring Page, to a 4th of July Word Search Printable Activity sheet. And, this 4th of July Celebration is one of my favorites!
Fourth of July Golf Cart
We love our golf cart, and we use it all the time. I even made a removable truck bed for the back seat. It is so much fun to decorate for each holiday.
Last year was the second year the boys took the cart out to watch the fireworks display. They just took one Yeti cup of water with them, and they came home quickly to get snacks and more drinks so they could stay out longer.
This year, I am prepared. I will fill one of our coolers with small bottles of Coca-Cola, and I’ll send them with a tray full of their favorite frosted cookies. I’ll put some sparklers and glow sticks (these ones from Amazon are fun!) in a basket, and send them out in a fully decorated patriotic cart.
They are already talking about their route for watching all of the fireworks, and I am so excited to see them {finally} fall in love with one of my favorite holidays!
If you enjoyed this post, be sure to check out some of these too!
