St. Patrick's Day Popcorn by SweetThreads Co. Everyday Party Magazine

St. Patrick’s Day Popcorn

St. Patrick's Day Popcorn by SweetThreads Co. Everyday Party MagazineSt. Patrick’s Day Popcorn. Michele from Sweet Threads Clothing Co. recently celebrated her son’s 5th birthday, Lego style.  One of the desserts she served were these yummy candied popcorn treats!  As soon as I saw them, I KNEW they would be PERFECT for St. Patrick’s Day!  I reached out to Michele for the recipe, and she was happy to share!

Be sure to read more about the Lego party here!

From Michelle:

2-3 tablespoons butter

1 bag marshmallows

Food coloring

1 bag microwave popcorn

Cooking spray

Wax paper

1. Microwave popcorn and set aside in large bowl. Remove any unpopped kernels.

2. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.

3. Add food coloring of your choice and mix well.

4. Pour evenly over popcorn and toss until covered.

5. Spray palms of hands with cooking spray and form popcorn into balls.

6. Place on wax paper until completely cooled.

7. Serve or store in airtight container until party time.

*Yields about 10-15 popcorn balls*

I am also adding the recipe as a printable recipe card below.
