When I was a little girl I can remember celebrating May Day. My mom set up a May Pole with our tether ball game, and we took small May Day baskets of flowers to the neighbors. At the time, I thought she was crazy. But, it was fun none the less.

What is May Day?
May Day is a festival of Spring celebrated in many European countries. And, it has been celebrated since the second century.
More modern celebrations in Europe and North America include dancing around the May Pole, crowning a May Queen, and delivering baskets of sweets and flowers to neighbors.
We have celebrated May Day a few times in the past, and I am looking forward to celebrating again this year. I shared Happy May Day tags and a Happy May Day Free Printable a few years ago.
May Day Baskets
I ordered the cutest little Easter Basket kits from Oriental Trading Company to use for our neighbor treats. They are the perfect size, and come with a little bit of paper grass for the baskets too!
I had some bottles of bubbles and sugar candy sticks at home from some other projects, so I’ll add those and other small candies to the basket. Then, I will gather some fresh flowers and add a tag to the baskets.
