Friends, we celebrated Easter early at my house and I could not have loved it any more! We hosted an Adult Only Easter Egg Hunt. Our friends joined us for an amazing afternoon of good natured and friendly competition, delicious food, and FUN. Our Easter Egg Hunt Ideas were a hit at our party, and I know we will be hosting another Adult Only Egg Hunt next year.

Easter Egg Hunt
When I was a young adult, my mom hid eggs for my husband, sister, and me to find. I can remember my own Mimi hiding eggs for my mom, aunt, and uncle as well. They are some of my favorite Easter memories.
Don’t get me wrong, I do love Easter celebrations for the little ones, but they shouldn’t be the only ones having all the fun. However, if you are looking for more kid friendly Easter fun, check out this DIY Easter Bunny Bucket or this free printable Easter Coloring Page.
I have wanted to host an Adult Only Egg Hunt for years, but I finally decided this was the year. I spent several weeks gathering and ordering treats that would be fun for adults to find. Then, I spent more time cleaning up our yard after neglecting it for most of the Winter.
Adult Easter Eggs
I got most of the eggs, goodies and Egg fillers from Oriental Trading Co. But, I quickly realized it would be very difficult to find great prizes that would fit in most of the eggs.
Thankfully, OTC has big and GIANT eggs that could easily fit a lot of cool treats. I filled the giant eggs with fun flamingo water squirters (that the adults loved) small Rubik’s Cubes, and more. The bigger eggs were perfect for small bunnies and hand sanitizers, or other smaller items. I used regular sized eggs and filled them with REESE’S Candies and coupons/vouchers for prizes that were too large for any eggs. Our gold and silver eggs were filled with $50 and $20 respectively.
I set up a large table in the house for the bigger prizes. Lawn Darts, Giant Pick Up Sticks, Bocce Ball, and Lawn Dominoes were some of the favorites of the day.
Easter Egg Hunt Ideas for Adults
We started the party in the early afternoon and served our guests lunch and drinks. It was important to keep them all inside our home because we hid all of the eggs outside.
Once our guests had time to eat and socialize, we went over some basic rules (don’t take anyone’s eggs, don’t fight over the eggs, this is fun, LOL) Then, my husband and I passed out Easter Tote Bags to our hunters, and let them start the hunt.
We hid over 300 eggs, and I think our guests found all of them within an hour. After everyone was done hunting, they traded their vouchers for prizes and spent the afternoon checking out their goodies and socializing.
We had the BEST time, and I have already been asked about future Adult Only Egg Hunts.
