Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Cinco De Mayo Desserts

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

It’s Cinco de Mayo week, and I am celebrating in epic style. We are literally enjoying Taco Tuesday everyday this week…well, Mexican Monday, Taco Tuesday…you get the idea. The boys are thrilled, but I wanted to add just a little more fun to our Cinco de Mayo celebration. So, I grabbed a fun cake with a succulent on top, and invited a few friends over. Then, I grabbed a few small Cinco de Mayo decorations. This week long celebration is going to be AWESOME!

Since we are celebrating all week, I really didn’t want to get too crazy with Cinco de Mayo party supplies and decorations. I grabbed a few colorful pom pom banners from the store, along with a few silly neon cactus lights for the kids dessert table. Then, I printed up a few pages of my new printable cactus party package, and I grabbed my felt picado banner from last year and hung it up above the dining table. To add a little more color to the cake table, I filled my three tiered tray with fresh citrus and avocados. It was subtle, affordable, and easy, which is great for a multi-day Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Desserts are a major part of any good celebration, so, of course I had to have several options. I mentioned the cake, but that wasn’t all we had! Choco Tacos are a must for any Cinco celebration at our house, and of course, we had to have churros! We also had frozen drinks for the kids and the adults to enjoy with their meals.
