Fresh Baked Pies Sign DIY
Fresh Baked Pies Sign DIY. Earlier this week, I shared our Apple Pie Baking Party. Some of my friends at the party fell in love with the pie sign I had hanging in the China Cabinet, but I picked it up last year in the Target Dollar Spot, so it’s not something they can easily purchase right now.
So, I designed a similar SVG file, and grabbed some paint, vinyl, and an inexpensive frame, and made my own version for my friends.
Supplies for the farmhouse style Fresh Baked Pie Sign:
Vinyl and Transfer Tape
Upload the SVG file to Design Space {or your cutting machine’s equivalent} and size it to fit your frame.
Remove the back from the frame and throw it away. Remove the glass and set it aside. Lightly paint the frame with white paint, and allow to dry.
While the paint dries, cut the and weed the vinyl. Apply transfer tape over the full image. I measured and marked the center of the glass and put a tiny chalk “x” in the center on the backside of the glass. Then, I folded the transfer tape to find the center of my design, and carefully placed it on the glass.
Once the paint it fully dry, flip the frame over and apply a small line of hot glue to each corner to hold the glass. Carefully place the glass on the frame, and gently push the corners into the hot glue.
Cut a piece of ribbon to your desired hanging length, and hot glue it to the back of the frame.
Voila! Stand back and admire your darling, rustic farmhouse pie sign! These would be great and inexpensive favors for a pie exchange party too!
