Hi friends, it’s Rachel from Fawn Parties here with you today and I’m excited to share with you my vintage inspired back to school party. With the beginning of school just around the corner, I wanted to throw a fun party for my soon-to-be 2nd grader and a few of her good friends. I wanted it to be a sweet and simple get together that was easy to put together with no fuss.
The kids had a blast gathering school supplies during the party like colored pencils, crayons, pencil sharpeners and erasers. They nibbled on cake and juice and had a fun time testing out their new school supplies.
I kept the decor simple and made a three pennant banners using my Cricut machine and adorable vintage inspired paper from We R Memory Keepers. I covered mason jars with paper and added a few “ABC” and “123” stickers to the front of the jars. I then filled them with several colored pencils for the kids to gather up.
For a cute vintage addition, place chalkboards around the party table with pieces of chalk for the kids to play with. Kids will love this old fashioned way of working on math problems!
I used my Cricut to cut out cupcake wrappers but instead of filling them with cupcakes, I filled them with school supplies! Glue sticks, heart erasers and colorful pencil sharpners were placed inside the wrappers and the kids loved “shopping” for all the fun school supplies.
The kids loved these cute crayon boxes that were made using my Cricut machine and couldn’t wait to start coloring in their coloring books. These crayon boxes were quick and easy to put together using Cricut Design Space. Just add a bit of baker’s twine and they’re all set to go!
No party is complete without yummy cake! A simple vanilla cake was all that was needed for our back to school party. The kids loved playing with their new school supplies and munching on delicious cake!
I hope this back to school party gets the kids excited for a bright new school year!
