Huddle Up Football Party for a Cause. Y’all, I have hosted no less than 4 football parties since pre-season and college football started. In this, I have discovered I really like football friendly foods, and I love having a houseful of enthusiastic friends. But, the true reason I have sports on all the time is because I am a mom. Even my non-athletic boys will sit and watch part of the game on the tv…and as a mom, it breaks my heart to think that 1 in 3 families in the US struggles to keep their little one in clean diapers. And, because of that, more than 50% of those families will miss school or work when they cannot send their child to daycare without enough clean diapers. Can you even imagine? When I found out one of my favorite teams was huddling up with Huggies to leave No Baby Unhugged, you know what I had to do…I had to have another football party…but this time, the guests had to pay to get in. The fee? Diapers!
Our party was just like our other parties with good food, good times, good friends, BUT also a good cause! Thankfully, I was able to run to my local Publix Store to gather all the supplies I needed for our party, including Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers! Since I couldn’t invite you all to our party, and I know you want to help, here are a few ways you can Huddle Up with Huggies and leave No Baby Unhugged. Are you in Florida? Do you have tickets to the Miami Dolphins game on 10/22/17? Pick up a pack of Huggies from Publix and donate between 10AM to 1PM at East Plaza at Hard Rock Stadium. If you are like me, and not able to go to the Dolphins game, you can donate through the Huggies No Baby Unhugged Amazon registry. All diapers purchased will be given to the Happy Baby Diaper Pantry of S.E. Florida (They are part of the National Diaper Bank Network). Do you have little ones in diapers? You can donate your Huggies Rewards points to benefit the National Diaper Bank Network. Diapers are a special need right now, too. Parents that may not normally experience the unsettling inability to provide clean diapers for their children are suddenly feeling that need after all of the catastrophic storms across the US recently.
I was able to put this party together quickly {which was good, because, really, who has time anymore}. Frozen foods were cooked and served in galvanized buckets. Of course we had chips and dip, soda, beer, and water. I reused party decor from previous parties, and downloaded free printables from around the web. One side of the table was decorated with a DIY framed football image, and one of the boys’ footballs. I added a few drinks to the table, but most were kept in the fridge to keep them cool. I set up the food on the 50 yard line of table.
One side of the table {and floor around the table} was set up to receive diapers. One of our sweet friends made a little diaper cake for the table, and I put our mini football goal post in an empty bottle with pennant flags hung between the posts.
We played some fun tailgate style games, and spent half time playing silly baby shower style games; we all tried several, including, speed diaper changing! After the game, no one lost, because we gathered over two dozen packages of diapers to donate locally!

This is such a great idea! Combining football, friends, food, and giving back can’t be beat! #client
