Woodland Animals with Cricut Maker. Two months ago I attended the Cricut Mountain Make-a-Thon in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was awestruck with the awesome things the Maker can do. It can cut fabric, crepe paper, kraftboard, and tons of other products. What excites me the most about the Maker is it’s ability to cut WOOD with the knife blade. {Available soon}  This machine is truly unlike any other die cutting machine I have ever used. I have owned two other Cricut machines, a Silhouette, and even manually operated die cutters. The Maker can out cut them all, easily.  It is obvious to see that the Cricut team left no detail untouched when they designed the Maker.  It is sleek, but functional. 

I have had my Maker for just about two months, and I have given it an amazing work out already. I have cut felt{!}, fabric {from thin cotton to thick canvas}, paper, and vinyl. But, one of the things I have cut with it that excites me the most is Cricut Kraftboard. It’s thick like chipboard, and my other machines always struggled to cut through chipboard cleanly. The Maker cut chipboard like a dream, and in just a few minutes I had the most adorable Kraftboard Winter Animals for a recent party. The Kraftboard Winter Animals are part of the 50 Free Maker projects. I chose to customize the animals instead of using the Make It Now feature, but either way they are a breeze to cut and make. I love Make It Now Projects because you can see a photo of the finished project, and it includes instructions! I made these adorable little animals in just a few minutes {while I was on the phone} I did resize mine to make them slightly larger, and I used my Xyron Sticker Maker to add adhesive to the white parts. I also decided not to cut the trees or the black parts of the animals. Once they were cut, I peeled the mat off the cuts, added the white parts, and assembled them. I truly believe my 4 year old niece could have made these cuties in no time! 

If you already have a Cricut Explore, you may be wondering if you really need a new machine. I can assure you the Explore series is still part of the Cricut family.  But, if you cut fabric, or want to cut more materials, you may want to look into purchasing the new Maker.  Or, ENTER TO WIN ONE BELOW!!!
