Spooktacular Kid’s Halloween Party
Spooktacular Kid’s Halloween Party. I am a sucker for Halloween celebrations. Seriously, I love them all….Sadly there are only 31 days in October and only one of me, so many days go uncelebrated, and more ideas swirl in my head. Spooky parties, cute parties, semi-gross parties…so many ideas! I also super love looking at everyone else’s parties! This Spooktacular Kid’s Halloween Party is, well, SPOOKTACULAR! From the simple DIY cupcake picks to the store bought and fun cupcakes, I love it all!
From AK Party Studio:
The sign of Halloween goodies in the stores could only mean one thing…fall has arrived! This is my absolute favorite season and with all of the fun decorations, yummy pumpkin spice smells, delicious lattes and plaid sweaters how it could anyone not love it?
We are usually a pretty laid back family for Halloween, but this year we opted to welcome October with a fun after school “Trick of Treat” bar. I surprised the kids with a cute Halloween setup! There are so many adorable items at Oriental Trading, if you are planning a party then check out their site for so many fun party details. There are so many cute things to choose from, I had a bit too much fun shopping!
I love this creepy netted cloth, it was perfect as a backdrop and was really easy to use. It’s so much better than trying to work with the cobweb material, that stuff gets stuck to everything! I started layering by hanging this “Trick or Treat” sign and the printed Halloween fans. The backdrop turned out great, and when the party is over I can leave it up and it’s still a perfect Halloween decoration!
Then, I added in a few other supplies I found from Oriental Trading like the spooky lit ghost tree and cobweb candle sticks. My kids loved these since they could light up. I found some cute glitter bat clips at Target and added those to the tree.
To up the spooky factor I added the candy eyeballs, and potion bottles that I found at Target. My kids are still young, so this was spooky enough for them.
To make it simple (because I am really all about that) I chose yummy Hostess cupcakes and added simple toppers. And, I saw these stickers at Oriental Trading and knew my daughter would love them. So, I used the stickers to make the toppers; simply add the sticker to purple cardstock circles and attaching them to paper straws cut to length. Put the cupcakes in a cute wrapper, and if it weren’t for the Hostess signature frosting swirl you would almost think they were homemade.
Don’t forget the pie! Pies are so popular (and perfect!) for the fall season and really delicious. I took black mesh fabric and tied around each pie tin. Set on a beautiful cake plate and you have a simple and easy look, perfect!
I found these darling glass milk bottles at Target and my kids are obsessed! Aren’t these fun? I love the cute Halloween graphic.
No gathering is complete without a little goodie for the kids. I picked up some candy stickers to take home, I figured better a sticker than the real thing. My kids are still pretty young, so thankfully we never end up with a huge amount of candy.
Halloween is going to be here before you know it. How do you like to celebrate? Do you lean more toward spooky or cute and fun?
Happy Halloween! Enjoy the season, filled with candy and lots of Spooktacular fun!
