Back to School Teacher Gift Ideas
Back to School Teacher Gift Ideas. Y’all, my family has been so blessed with our teachers for most of my boys’ educational careers. Sure, we had a few that maybe should not have been teachers, but for the most part we have had some truly amazing educators in our, now, extended family. Because my boys’ teachers work tirelessly to help prepare my boys for what is next in their lives with love and kindness, and a firm hand when needed, we try to support them in anyway we can.
Every year on the first day of school we send the boys with small gifts for their teachers. Typically, we send in homemade caramel dip and an apple on the first day, and then we send in other treats throughout the school year. I conducted an informal survey from over thirty teacher friends, and I asked them what they would want in a gift basket. Now, please know that most of the teachers we have encountered have been extremely thankful for any gift they have been given, but these are real suggestions from real teachers.
I asked my friends if they were given the option, would they rather have a gift basket full of school supplies, a gift basket full of treats, or a gift basket of mixed treats and school supplies. Nearly every teacher said a mix would be amazing. So, I took it a step further and asked what types of supplies and treats they would want. EVERY.SINGLE.TEACHER said Expo Brand Dry Erase Markers, and good pencils (Triconderoga). Seriously, that is the gold standard teacher currency right there…

Armed with my newfound knowledge, I went to the store and bought a few goodies for the teachers. I made a little box with glue and wooden rulers, but you could easily buy a pre-made basket too.
My box was filled with a box of pre-made coffee, EOS chapstick, the cutest little packages of Udderly Smooth lotion, Cow Tales Mini treats, Chocolate Cream candies, Triconderoga Pencils tied with cute ribbon, Expo Markers tied with cute ribbon, Fiskars scissors, Crayola Crayons, Elmer’s Glue Sticks, Sharpies, and a few Tombow Pens.
Finally, as I am sure you know, we host a lot of parties, and I am sent a lot of awesome goodies…a lot of times, I cannot re-use them. I have taken so much of it to my boys’ teachers to use for their in class goodie boxes. Every time I do, the teachers are so grateful.
Fair disclosure: I was sent some products free of charge to use as I chose. I love these products, and I want to share them. All opinions are my own.
This review is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed above. I was provided the sample free of charge by the company or PR agency and I have given my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.
