Several of my friends have decided to have small Halloween parties for their little ones this year. And, a lot have asked me for ideas for fun and affordable Halloween party games for their kids.

My guys are a little older now, so while I would love for them to play Pin the Spider on the Web, I know they won’t be all that agreeable to it. But, we are playing games together one night a week. But, I wanted to put a little Halloween fun into a standard board game. I also didn’t want to spend a fortune to do it!
We have an inexpensive Checkers board game at home. I think I paid about $5 for it at a big box store this summer. And, on a recent trip to my local craft store, I found some pumpkin and spider table scatter pieces. I knew they would be the perfect game pieces for a Halloween version of family game night! If you don’t feel like going to the stores in person, I found something similar on Amazon (affiliate links); checkers game, spiders, pumpkins (this one is great because you can use the pieces to make a Thanksgiving Checkers Game too!)
Simply swap the pumpkins and spiders for the checkers and that’s it! You have the perfect spooky fun Halloween party game!
