Y’all, I love this vending capsule Halloween Craft so much! We ordered approximately 9,453,212 two-inch vending machine capsules for my son’s high school graduation party. So, I still have just shy of 9 million left. I have been trying to think of creative ways to use them. And, one day I was looking at all.of.those.capsules and I thought they looked like McDonald’s Boo Buckets.
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.

Vending Machine Halloween Craft
Believe it or not, you only need three supplies to make these darling little mini Boo Bucket style Halloween treats. Check out my Amazon Shop to find some of my favorite crafting supplies, or click the links below to purchase each item directly.
- Vending Machine Capsules
- White, Green, and Orange Craft Paint – paint brushes are optional
- Black Sharpie
- Optional – Small Filler for the capsules
Begin by separating the green, white, and orange lids from the capsules. My bag did not have enough white lids (we used them for my son’s grad party), so I used the pale yellow lids. Then, get a bubble capsule for each lid.
Now, add a little paint to the inside of the clear bubble capsule to match each lid. (Orange paint with orange lids, white paint with white lids, and green paint with green lids). Swirl the paint around in the capsule and place it on a paper plate or paper towel to allow the excess paint to drip out. I started with a paintbrush, but I found that the paint coverage was better without a brush. I also added a little bit of yellow paint to the green paint to get the right color.
After the paint dries, fill the capsules with small fillers; wrapped candy, stickers, spider rings, etc.
Finally, use the Sharpie to draw a face on each capsule to mimic a Boo Bucket.
That’s it! This is such an easy and adorable Halloween craft!
