Simple Gift Idea with Xyron. Y’all it’s the season for gift giving. Spring gifts are often given as a sweet bouquet of flowers, and while I love a pretty bouquet, sometimes they can get a little expensive, and a little overdone. One of my favorite neighbor gift ideas is local foods. Local foods are perfect packaged together as a new neighbor gift basket!
My very favorite gift for a neighbor is local honey. It’s an inexpensive gift, and can be packaged in a cute mason jar with a darling label with just a little effort!
Supplies:
Local Honey
Deep Red Bumblebee Stamp and Stamp Pad
I like to keep a small supply of new neighbor gifts on hand, so I pre-make the darling little bee labels, and keep inexpensive mason jars on hand all the time. Then, when I go to a local market, or find a beekeeper, I buy a BUNCH of honey. {We use honey all the time} Now, if I need a gift for a neighbor, I have a cute go to gift!
These would be darling wedding favor ideas too! Just make a little sign that says Thanks for Bee-ing Here, and place it on the favor table with the jars. Who can’t use affordable wedding favor ideas? Especially this time of year!
First, rub the new stamp on your skin a little before stamping it on the ink. I can’t remember where I learned this trick, but I always do it. Apply ink to the stamp and stamp it onto the vellum. Add as many as you can to the paper, and use a paper punch to cut out the images. Use another paper punch to cut out slightly larger circles from the honeycomb paper.
Run each circle through a Xyron Sticker Maker and apply to the outside of a smooth mason jar. {Kerr Mason Jars are smooth on one side}
Fill the jar with local honey and add a ribbon or a bow if you want, and you have a sweet gift for neighbors or a cheap wedding favor idea! No matter who you are giving this sweet gift to, they are sure to love it!
