1st Day of School Printable Pennant

My littlest one starts his junior year of high school this week. He’s our last one in public grade school, and I cannot believe that after nearly twenty years we are almost done with school. But, no matter how old the boys are, they know that they will have to stand in front of the front door on the first day of school for a picture. And, I am so smitten with this year’s 1st day of school printable pennant sign I created.

Back to School Signs

Throughout the years, I have shared printable signs for our little ones to hold on their first days of school, and I have truly loved seeing your kiddos holding their signs.

But, like with all of my designs, there are some I love a little more than others. I really love this First Day of School Sign I shared last year because I also created an SVG so you can make a reusable sign.

And this Free Printable First Day of School Sign is great because there is a space for your little one to write their name. I love being able to preserve handwriting samples.

1st Day of School Printable Pennant

When my boys were younger they loved being able to color their own first day of school signs. And, this sign is the best of both worlds!

I created a printable sheet with two pennants on it. Each pennant is ready to be colored by you or your little learner. I colored my son’s with his school colors.

If you want, you could print several copies and create a hanging banner too! I only printed one for my son, and one for my niece and nephew. Then, I colored them and cut them out. But, I left a little extra paper tab at the end of each pennant so I could add a bamboo skewer to hold the pennant with. Then, I added a little color-coordinated ribbon to the skewers after I glued it to the pennant.
