Watermelon Picnic
Watermelon Picnic by Sweet Peach Paperie. I am a HUGE fan of Sweet Peach Paperie, so I am completely thrilled to share this sweet Watermelon Picnic Party she hosted for her little one’s second birthday. This sweet little party is full of loving details, from the hand painted watermelon used in the printables to the hand made bench at the party!
From Tracy:
Our sweet Eliza B. is TWO! This year, we celebrated with a small family watermelon picnic. It was simple, but a sweet celebration! The weather was so nice and the sunset was beautiful. With exception to the mosquitos, it was the most wonderful night for a picnic!
The neighboring field was the perfect setting for our watermelon picnic. The red Pottery Barn table came straight from our play room, covered with a handmade eyelet table cloth. My mom had made it for a former party and I have used it again and again. White table cloths and white dishes are great party staples! My dad built the garden bench and I borrowed it from my parents’ back porch. I love the feeling of bringing furniture outdoors.
The adorable chalkboard print came from Dear Lillie. If you haven’t visited Dear Lillie, be sure to do so! They have beautiful home décor inspiration, pillows, and hand drawn prints. It’s a great blog to follow!
My talented mother-in-law (or “mother-in-love” as she sweetly calls herself) created the watermelon with watercolors and I digitally added it to the collection. I asked her to paint for me, but didn’t tell her my exact purpose. I was so excited to surprise her with a full Watermelon Picnic collection using her art!
The adorable watermelon cookies were custom designed by Kristie of Peapods. I love her style and was so impressed with her incredible work! If only I could bake!!
One of my new favorite punches by Martha Stewart was used to create the decorative eyelet edge on the lunch bags. Add a wooden spoon and collection sticker for an easy Watermelon Picnic lunch.
Thank you to the precious owner, Jamie, at Creations Bakery for the delicious cupcakes, cake and rosette chocolates! Her cupcakes have always been my favorite!!
The beautiful photos are by the talented Kim Craig Ali Photography. Kim is sooo great to work with! If you are in the Atlanta area, you want to check her out.
The Watermelon Picnic Collection can be printed with a straight edge or rounded corners. The corners can be hand cut using the provided tracing lines or cut with a rounded corner punch.
Watermelon slices make for a great summer birthday cake!
Liza B. loves watermelon!! By the end of our picnic, she was dripping in watermelon juice and one happy girl!
