Swamp Birthday Party

Swamp Birthday Party by The Party Designers Inc. What little boy doesn’t love snakes, reptiles, and all things dirty (and possibly gross + slimy)? The Party Designers Inc sent over Nick’s Swamp(tastic) Birthday Party, and despite my aversion to slithering reptiles, I kinda fell in love with this party!

The birthday boy, Nick, is totally into Reptiles and swamp life this year! So of course that was the theme he chose for this birthday party.

The party took place at his home. We transformed their “formal” living room into a “swampy area” full of alligators, snakes, grass and other slimy creatures. We used products from Oriental Trading and Shingdigz along with a few other DIY projects to create this look.

The children were entertained by a fabulous and fun DJ, Austin Daley. They danced to pop music and played “reptile inspired” games.

They also had a few other “slimy” guests at the party. Riverside Reptiles came to show off some of their reptile friends. They children were able to touch and see snakes, frogs & lizards!

The dessert table was a main focal point of the party. In the center of the table was the amazing alligator cake! Designed by the birthday boy himself! We added fishing nets, grass, moss, branches, logs, twigs and branches to create a “swampy” home for the alligator cake.

We added gummy earth worms and gummy tarantulas to the table also. The backdrop consisted of a textured green petal drape. We added a tassel banner and the #7 to complete the look.

The children also took turns on the alligator piñata. The piñata was filled with green & yellow plastic eggs, filled with candy!

The favors were boxes to mimic “live cargo” boxes. Inside the guest received a personalized reptile T-shirt, a DIY wooden lizard, swamp bug soap & gummy worms. The boxes were tied with raffia and a personalized thank you tag.
