Simple Sangria Recipe
My Thrifty Sister recently shared her simple sangria recipe with me, and I cannot wait to try this myself!
From Cindy;
When making my first batch of Sangria I went to my online recipe book Pinterest, typed in “Easy Sangria” and loved the ease of the very first recipe. 1 bottle white wine + 3 cans Fresca + fresh fruit = delicious, easy Sangria. This is the recipe I was inspired by.
I am a wine label snob, I choose wine by the label, and shape of the bottle. I also found Peach Citrus Fresca and thought that would add even more fruit flavor. I marinate the fruit in the wine overnight, but I’m sure you can drink it in a few hours. Finally, add the chilled Fresca and the marinated fruit and wine together in a punch bowl or glass pitcher. This recipe is easily doubled if you need a larger batch, simply use the same ratio 1 bottle wine/ 3 cans Peach Fresca.
Ingredients:
- One pear
- One apple
- Small handful of grapes sliced in half
- 4-5 strawberries sliced
- One can mandarin oranges with juice
- 1 bottle Chardonnay
- 3 cans Peach Fresca
Slice fruit and marinate in the wine several hours to overnight. Add chilled Peach Fresca and fruit and wine.
Have some friends over and enjoy!!
