Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town with Cost Plus World Market

I can vividly remember waiting for the Christmas music channel to {finally} start playing the day after Thanksgiving as a little girl. It was something I looked forward to all year. The only thing better than that was the Christmas Eve service at church. I could truly listen to Christmas music most of the year. My mom used to sing Christmas songs with me, and there are still some songs that will instantly transport me back to my childhood. My favorite was always Santa Claus is Comin to town. So, of course, I take holiday gifting very seriously.

Create the perfect Christmas gift:

Since Jessie J’s new CD, Christmas Day evokes such warm and. fuzzy feelings for me, I decided I wanted to share it with my mom this Christmas season. My sister recently moved into my mom’s, and I know my mom craves her alone time, making gift giving that much more important…so, I wanted to make her a gift that she could enjoy on her own, or even with one or two of her friends while my sister was out with her kids.

I wanted to package my mom’s gift in a fun and maybe unusual way, so I skipped the holiday gift wrap and baskets and went straight for the holiday stockings. Cost Plus World Market had tons to choose from, starting at just under $10 and up. I really loved so many, but I went with the farmhouse style stocking with snowflake accents. Next, I wandered through World Market for a while looking for the perfect gifts to put in the stocking.

I decided on a bottle of holiday Glogg, several cheeses, crackers, artisan olives and other goodies to fill a small cheese tray. I also picked up a candle and some of my mom’s {and my} favorite candies to stick in the stocking. Of course I included Jessie J’s Christmas Day CD for her too.

I think I may even give her this gift a little early so she can enjoy it all season long!
