I try to celebrate Mother’s Day a little early with my mom. This has allowed her to have the day she wants on her special day, and I have been able to travel with my family. This Mother’s Day won’t be any different, and I have already setting up our sweet Mother’s Day Dessert Table.
Mother’s Day
We don’t typically go all out for Mother’s Day in our family, but I do tend to wear funny mom shirts. And these Free Mom Life SVG Files would be perfect for Mother’s Day and beyond.
But, this Mom’s Morning Out Day Spa would be perfect for your mom or your mom friends!
Mother’s Day Dessert Table
I decided to host my mom and my sister in my She Shed (you can see more in this She Shed Warming Party post). I LOVE this space, and it is perfect for hosting small get togethers.
I began by covering my TV with a DIY fabric rag banner. I used inexpensive sheets from the thrift store and secured them to a length of rope. Then I hung it *on my TV. It covered the TV and provided a shabby chic style backdrop on a small budget.
Next, I added some of our favorite family photos to my buffet table. In included photos of my Mimi as a child, my Mimi and her sisters, my sister and my Mimi, and a photo of two of my boys. I printed some of these photos and more and framed them for my mom and sister too. I also added some flowers and my fiddle leaf fig tree to the table.
Finally, it was time to add some sweet treats and drinks. Of course it will be a little different when my mom and sister are actually here, but I wanted to see if it would look good before they actually came over. I will have champagne, juice, maybe some bourbon, and more pastries for them when they come over.
Of course I will have gifts for them too!
