Awesome-sauce Father’s Day Gift

Awesome-Sauce Father’s Day Gift by Giggles Galore. Summer is here, and if the dad in your life is anything like the dads in my life, that means more time outside at the grill. My husband would grill everything if he could. And I am happy to let him try. I will definitely be helping the boys make this Awesome-Sauce for their dad this week. My husband loves to barbecue and he is a big fan of spicy stuff so I decided to combine the two for a delicious Father’s Day gift. I’ve never made my own BBQ sauce, but I was surprised at how simple it was to make. I found a basic recipe in my Betty Crocker Cookbook, and just tweaked it a bit to make it the perfect combination of spicy with just a hint of sweet.

Kick things up a notch and put this on your favorite meat before you throw it on the grill. We tried it out with chicken and it was delish!

Since presentation is key I created simple labels and gift tags for this Spicy Chipotle BBQ sauce. My kids and I use the phrase “Awesomesauce” to describe anything we love or things that are “cool.” It makes them giggle every time I say it. And because we think our Dad is pretty awesome we think he will love his Father’s Day Awesomesauce!
