Pinch Proof St. Patrick’s Day
Pinch Proof St. Patrick’s Day. My boys still get really excited about every holiday, and I love it! However, they also go to a school with a blue and white uniform dress code, so it’s hard to justify buying a special shirt for all of the holidays. But, you HAVE to wear some green on St. Patrick’s Day, right?
On a recent trip to Target, I saw a package of socks on clearance. I am always looking for a good deal on socks for the boys because they are horrible with their socks! If they aren’t lost, they get holes from wearing them outside without shoes. I knew I had some scrap HTV vinyl at home from making a birthday shirt for my youngest, so I used my Cricut and cut out some small shamrocks and ironed them on the green socks! Now, my guys will be pinch proof and dressed to dress code!
Supplies:
Green Socks
Iron
Time:
5 Minutes
Select an image from Cricut’s store, or upload your own. Cut it out on HTV (remember to reverse the image). Weed the vinyl (remove the parts that will not be ironed on), but leave the clear transfer tape. Stick your image on the sock (or shirt, or whatever else you are making), making sure to line it up how you want it. I use folded parchment paper over the vinyl and transfer tape, and press my iron on the socks hard for about 15-20 seconds. Check to make sure the vinyl has stuck to the socks, and carefully remove the transfer tape (it will be hot). If the vinyl isn’t completely stuck, re-press the iron on the sock for 10 more seconds. Voila, Pinch Proof St. Patrick’s Day Socks!
