Free Teacher Appreciation Gift Tag

Free Teacher Appreciation Gift Tag

I love, love, love my boys’ teachers and we truly feel blessed to have the teachers we have for them!  I try to show them we love them all year long, and Teacher Appreciation Week is no different.  I also want them to have something a little different, not something I printed off of Pinterest…So, as I wandered the aisles of the store last night looking for frames for another project, it hit me!  I would customize inexpensive wine glasses with the school colors and the first initial for each teacher and add a small bottle of wine.  I was a little apprehensive about sharing this gift idea with everyone, but with a little encouragement, I shared it on Instagram this morning and it was very well received, so I am sharing the FREE teacher appreciation gift tag and a simple DIY for this gift.

Everyday Party Magazine Free Teacher Appreciation Gift Tag I'd wine if you weren't my teacher

Supplies:

Wine glass

Small bottle of wine (I got a 4 pack of Sutter Home and Barefoot)

Cello Bag

Crinkle paper or shreds

Ribbon, or twine

Vinyl or glass paint pens to customize the glass

Printable tag (found below)

I used Cricut to cut vinyl letters for each glass and a simple hole punch for the polka dots.  I used vinyl in the schools colors, but you could certainly customize it to your liking.  Or you could use Elmer’s Paint Pens to decorate the glass too!  (Oracal 651 is outdoor rated vinyl and holds up well on glasses if you allow it to sit a few days before dishwashing it…)  When I finished decorating the glass, I put a bed of crinkle paper in a cello bag and added the bottle of wine.  I tied it with ribbon and put in the glass.  I used scotch brand two sided tape to stick the label on, but you could hole punch it and tie it on too.  This gift was very affordable and really didn’t take a lot of time to put together, but my boys’ teachers loved their glasses!

The tag was written with my son’s handwriting font, and I will be sharing how I did that later this week.

There are 9 tags on each printable sheet and as always, our free downloads are for personal use only.  But, please share your projects with us using the hashtag #epmteacherswine

[…] I used the iFontMaker App for $6.99 in the Apple App Store.  My kids LOVE writing their own fonts now, and I love having a record of their handwriting for years to come.  I have downloaded each of their fonts to my computer to use whenever I want, including the Teacher Appreciation Tags I shared earlier this week.
