Valentine’s Day Treat
Last week I mentioned that I received a box of candy from SweetWorks…I also mentioned I have 4 boys. Pink, cutesy Valentine’s Day Treats are not their favorite thing to pass out. So, with the help of Pamela Smerker Designs and SweetWorks, I have another AWESOME Valentine’s Day Treat for the boys to take to their classmates!
To make Cupid’s Arrows Valentine’s Day Treats, you will need
* wooden craft sticks
Those sticks will need to soak in water overnight, and you need to notch both ends, on both sides. I bundled mine up and cut them at one time with my scroll saw.
* dental floss
* sandwich baggies
* candy hearts
* FREE printable bag toppers from Pamela Smerker Designs
* q-tips with one end cut off
I found several tutorials online for the bow and arrow, so I will share my brief DIY for it.
You will need to soak your craft sticks overnight in a bowl of water and cut out notches on each end. (This is for the dental floss) After the craft sticks have soaked, wrap dental floss around one end several times. You won’t need to tie it. Then, gently bend the craft stick and wrap the hanging piece of dental floss around the other end very tight.
Next, take your q-tips and snip one end off. My oldest son was in charge of this and told me nail clippers worked better than scissors.
Print up one of the two free printables Pamela Smerker Designs made just for Everyday Party Magazine.
Finally, package your bow, arrow, and a few candy hearts in a sandwich bag and add your cute Cupid’s Arrow bag topper, and you have a FUN Valentine’s Day Treat!
Be sure to check out Pamela’s Facebook page for ANOTHER FREE TOPPER too!!!
Thank you so much to Pamela Smerker Designs for making the adorable FREE bag toppers, and to SweetWorks Candy for the candy hearts!
