Simple DIY Drink Bucket – Patriotic Craft Lightning . You guys, I feel like a crafting squirrel some days…like if it’s going to take me more than 20 minutes to do, it’s never going to get done…that’s why I LOVE being part of the Craft Lightning! We are hosting our first several parties of the summer season over the next few weeks, and it’s record breaking hot in Florida right now, so lots of cold drinks are a MUST! I like to have drinks all over the place to make it easier for guests to stay hydrated…I also don’t especially love big ugly coolers…so, I use lots and lots of galvanized buckets. I grabbed this one from the Dollar Spot at Target, it’s a good size for a smaller party.
You could leave the bucket as is, and that’s ok, but…you could also add a little vinyl and make it amazing!

Open Design Space and find the USA cut file in Access.
Type out the text, and weld the letters together. I typed each word individually so I could place them all exactly where I wanted them. Now, place one word over the USA, select the word and the USA, and slice it. This will remove the word from the USA. Repeat this for the rest of the text.Measure the space you have on your bucket and size the image to fit. Next, send the image to the Cricut to cut.
Weed the image, be sure to leave the little parts of the text in the middle of the letters too.
Apply transfer tape over the whole image, and carefully apply it to the bucket, smoothing out any air bubbles as you go.Finally, fill that sweet bucket with ice and your favorite beverages and call your friends over for a little summer soirée!
Be sure to head over to the Cricut blog and see how easy it was to make custom bottle labels too!
