Mother’s Day Bath Melts
Mother’s Day Bath Melts. Mother’s Day? What? It’s not even Easter yet…but, Easter is late this year, and we are literally nearly 1/4 of the way done with 2017 already…this year is FLYING by! I will be attending SNAPConf again in late April, and then, my mom’s birthday is the following week, and then, Mother’s Day! I swear if I blink I will miss something. So, I am trying to get a jump start on everything when I have a little more time.
I was wandering around Pinterest, and I saw a DIY for bath bombs and bath melts. Bath bombs tend to irritate my skin, so I was a little worried about making those, so I opted to make bath melts. The recipe I found online was from BrenDid.com. I just tweaked it a little.
1/3 shea butter with passion fruit (for a better smell)
1/4 cup almond oil
2.5 cup powdered coconut milk
Add shea butter, almond oil, and honey to a glass bowl and microwave on warm/reheat/half power setting for 30 second intervals, stirring between each. It took 90 seconds to melt in the microwave. Whisk the shae butter, oil, and honey together, and mix in powdered coconut milk, reserve some to dust on top of bath melts.
Scoop with a cookie scoop and allow to dry on parchment paper for about an hour. Dust with powdered coconut milk.
I put a half a dozen in a Weck Canning Jar and added a simple green bow to the jar. Between now and Mother’s Day I will gather up a few more bath goodies and package them all in a little basket for my mom…because, who doesn’t love a nice bath!
