Funnel Cake Dip

Funnel Cake.  My family jokes that I must be part carny…I love carnival food like no other, truly.  Corn dogs, yes please; cotton candy, uh, yeah; funnel cake, take all of my money.  However, I hate going to the fair or carnival, because it feels dirty to me.  So, I make my favorite carnival foods at home from time to time.  

We recently went to a minor league baseball game and they had funnel cake! I was so excited, until I bit into it, it was terrible…absolutely awful, like throw it away and spit out what was in your mouth bad. I was so disappointed.  So, of course I NEEDED to have real funnel cake, and as soon as possible.  So, when my sister came over next, I put her to work making some funnel cake while I did a few photo shoots and designs.  Then, she blew.my.mind with her dip!  She did not dust the funnel cake STICKS with powdered sugar, y’all, she made a DIP FOR THEM!!! A dip for funnel cake sticks…no lie.  I feel like I have been robbed, I cannot believe my own sister withheld this information from me! I could not keep this awesomeness from you all, like she did to me…

We used a recipe we found online for the funnel cake, and it was ok, but I think I will have to tweak it for future uses.
