Ice Cream Party.  I mentioned earlier this week that we hosted an Ice Cream Party Play date with one of my friends recently.  I was sent a box of fun goodies from Baker Party Shop recently and I knew I would have a fabulous party with the goodies.  Then, I was scrolling through Pinterest, wasting time, and found the.most.amazing.ice cream cart.EVER, and I KNEW exactly what I was going to do with my goodies from Bakers Party Shop!

The first thing I did to prepare for the party was make the Ice Cream Cart.  Damask Love shares an amazing set of DIY instructions for the cart and accessories.  And, the designs are all in Cricut‘s Make Now section of Design Space. It literally took me about an hour to make.  So easy, and so adorable! I wrapped my box with wrapping paper instead of painting it.  I also used clear plastic cups as the “feet” for the cart.   I also used my Cricut to make a few adorable t-shirts for the kids to wear.  How cute is my friend’s little man?  I could eat him up!

 

 

The backdrop was a simple white sheet with store bought bunting strung across.  I didn’t want the backdrop to compete with the adorable ice cream cart.  

The cart was loaded up with Bakers Party Shop cups filled with Ice Cream Play Doh.  I also used the cups to make a tiered cupcake stand.  Store bought mini cupcakes were embellished with ice cream picks from Michaels.  Ice cream cones were filled with ice cream play doh too.  I found the cutest bottles of popsicle shaped bubbles at the Dollar Tree and added a few of those to the ice cream cart as well.  Finally, wooden spoons, milkshake straws, and sprinkles from Bakers Party Shop were added to the cart for the kids to play with with their ice cream play doh.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All the playing made the kids hungry, so, of course, we had ice cream.  I didn’t want to serve the kids a large amount of ice cream (ice cream upsets my kids stomachs) and I also didn’t want to spend an hour in the kitchen scooping ice cream for the kids, so I asked my husband to scoop some ice cream into muffin tin liners and popped them into the freezer until we were ready for our snacks.
