Laser Tag Birthday Party
As the mama of 4 boys, I can confidently say I am very good at Laser Tag! We go play several times a year, and I have been known to kick little boys butts when I play, LOL! I love this Laser Tag Birthday Party from AndersRuff, and I am pretty sure if one of my boys sees it, I will have to do my own version.
From AndersRuff:
Are you a mom of a boy that has outgrown parties at home? Or maybe your son is dying to have a laser tag party at your local venue but you are cringing at the fact that it won’t be “cute”. Well, I have some SUPER easy and adorable tips today to share on how you can easily pull together a super impressive and affordable table setting for a laser tag party.
Pierson’s Laser Tag Party was SO much fun. It was quite a challenge for me because we only had 30 minutes to get all of our props into the room and set it up. I knew I didn’t want to do a full dessert table because the kids would only be in the private room for about a half hour. I wanted to show a realistic party! This was totally manageable and do-able. You can do it, too, with a few simple ideas.
Some of my favorite elements were:
– DIY Laser Tag Cake using a store bought cake, gumballs and printable cake toppers
– Glow in the dark centerpieces using glow sticks, rock candy sticks and vases wrapped with paper and printables.
– Super cool and easy favor ideas (laser finger lights, laser pointer and cool re-usable luggage tag!)
– Customized Laser Tag T-shirts for the kiddos (Great to keep track of all the kids in your party!)
I was going to order a cake from my amazing cake artist, Itz My Party Cakery in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. It was so last minute and my son couldn’t make up his mind on what he wanted. I was going to make a rice krispie treat cake because he requested it but at the last minute he begged for a chocolate cake. I went to my local grocery store and they made this plain blue cake on the spot for me. (For under $15!)
I put together some printable cake toppers and lined the black cake stand with red gumballs and all of the sudden we had a laser tag themed cake that the kids went crazy over! (For under $25!)
The kids all got to wear personalized laser tag shirts using our iron ons. (and Onlinelabels.com opaque iron on transfer paper sheets!)
In the centers of the tables, we put some black cake stands with stacks of gum packs wrapped with our gum pack wrappers. The kids freaked out!
Each kids’ place setting had a cute green plate with their favor, favor box (they filled these up with extra candy and glow sticks). They all had laser blue Gatorade with printable wrappers and straws with flags. SO CUTE! The black gable boxes from Nashville Wraps were personalized with a label and a luggage tag that we laminated and tied to the box with a zip tie.
We bought pop rocks for the kids to take home, too because they reminded us of lasers and coordinated with the colors….
The printed backdrop was super cute at the wall behind the table. The kids got to get their photos taken in front of it. Driftwood Printing did the printing and it was awesome.
The Printable Luggage tags were personalized with each kids’ name on them and then attached to the black gable boxes with a colorful zip tie. The kids can use these when they get home on their school bag or lunch box.
The favors were a hit. We used clear plastic containers from Nashville wraps and filled them with black shred and Laser Tag Finger Lights and a laser pointer. We finished it off with twine and our printable favor tag from this collection. Print as many as you need!
The birthday boy thought it was so super cool when we turned out the lights and he blew out his candles… our centerpieces and the cake were glowing just as much as he was!
