DIY Halloween Coasters with Cricut. One of my favorite things about having my Cricut machine is the ability to take a store bought item and make it personalized to match my party. I recently got together with one of my favorite party bloggers for several days and we styled a fa-boo-lous Halloween party with Martha Stewart’s Celebrations line, available exclusively at Michaels. The first project I’m sharing are these spider monogrammed coasters. Adding a monogram to a coaster is a quick and simple way to add so much to a store bought item.

To make these coasters, you will need:

Iron On Protective Sheet

To make this project even easier, I’ve saved my Design Space canvas.

Now, search for the monogram cartridge in Design Space Access, and select your letters, then hide the extra letters. Resize your monogram to fit inside the spider’s stomach. Select the spider and one letter of the monogram, and click slice to slice the monogram from the spider, then delete the extra monogram pieces. Repeat this step for each letter. {You will have to move the spider behind the letters each time you slice it}

Send the image to the Cricut machine to cut, choose how many you want to cut, don’t forget to mirror your cut and put the Iron On Foil on the mat shiny side down.

Weed the excess vinyl and cut each spider into individual monograms to press onto the coasters.

Place one monogram on each coaster, and place coasters onto EasyPress Mat, and cover with Iron On Protective Sheet. Press each coaster for approximately 15-20 seconds at 270*. Since these are paper, you will need to check them at about 15 seconds. Re-Press if necessary.
