Popcorn Box Blog Hop – Eyeball Double Crunch Recipe.  I am so excited to be a part of Laura Kelly Designs Popcorn Box Blog Hop this year!  There are so many other amazing bloggers joining in the fun, please be sure to check out their Pop Corn Boxes too! 

When my husband was a little boy he used to say, “Eyeball double crunch, eat a bugger with your lunch!”  He has no idea where it came from, and yet, he still remembers saying it, and he taught it to our sons…yay?  Anyway, with four boys in the house, snack time is nearly constant, and I thought it would be so much fun to make Eye Ball Double Crunch Snacks for the kiddos, and anything in a Popcorn Box is more fun to eat, especially if the box is decorated with eye balls!

I carefully took my World Market popcorn box apart, and cut off the scalloped edge.  Then I covered it with black card stock.  I used spray adhesive to attach it to the box, once it was secure, I reassembled the box, using glue dots to hold it together.  Then came the fun part, adding eyeball stickers all over!  I found some at Hallmark for just $1, and the felt 3-d ones are from Michaels.  I made 4 of these boxes for my boys.

Once the boxes were done, I made the Eye Ball Double Crunch snack.  Essentially, it’s Chex Muddy Buddies with Wilton Eye Ball Candies, and gummy bugger candy mixed together.  My boys (my husband included) cracked up when they saw the Popcorn Boxes!  And I have been asked more than once to make more Eyeball Double Crunch! 

I used my Sizzix to cut a little tag, and tied it to the bag of Eye Ball Double Crunch and added a few foil wrapped chocolate eye ball candies to the box.  I also slid a fun custom Lollipic into the Pop Corn Box for the boy that completed their chores with the least complaints this week.  I may need to order more to keep up the bribery 😉
