Beautiful DIY Christmas Cards

I know it is just barely the middle of October, but we scheduled our holiday photos already, and I am working on my Christmas Card list. Even still, I am sure our holiday cards will be mailed out late. The best laid plans, right? I wanted to try to create homemade holiday cards this year. And, I think I created the most beautiful DIY Christmas Cards ever!

Easy Marble Paint

I recently had the opportunity to work with Darice’s Marabu Easy Marble Paint. I have wanted to try marble painting for a long time. Marabu Easy Marble Paint is so easy to use. I am sure even the youngest artists can use it!

Homemade Christmas Card Ideas

Since I wanted to make my own holiday cards, I decided to use the Marabu Easy Marble Paint to create beautiful marble painted paper. I love homemade holiday gifts and tags. One of my favorite homemade projects is the simple holiday treat container diy I shared last year! I also really love these DIY Christmas Tags from several years ago!

Then, I scanned my favorite pieces and created a printable 5×7″ card. I created the cards so that I could attach our family photos. However, these printables could be used as a small folded card without a photo too.

DIY Marble Paper

Marble painting is so easy to do and so much fun! You only need a few supplies, and all day because you are not going to want to quit.

Supplies

Marabu Easy Marble Paint

Darice Card Stock

Disposable Roasting Pans

Toothpicks

Gloves

Step 1

Fill a roasting pan about half full with water. I placed my trays on an old towel in case I dripped paint.

Step 2

Slowly drip Marabu Easy Marble paint into the water. Adding each color on top of the previous color. This will allow the paint to spread in the water.

Step 3

Use a toothpick to swirl the paint on top of the water.

Step 4

Dip the paper into the paint and water. I did not wear gloves for this and I wish I had.

Step 5

Remove the paper from the water, and lay flat to dry.

Step 6

I lightly ironed the paper, and then scanned my favorite ones onto my computer to make the cards.
