Apple Pie Party
Apple Pie Party. One of my favorite memories of young motherhood, and early marriage is baking apples and apple pies in the fall for my husband and young son. To this day, the smell will instantly take me back to that phase of my life. It’s a sweet memory, and I truly cherish it.
I wanted to recreate a little of that memory in my home this fall, with the added benefit of a complete family. I decorated a thrifted and repainted china hutch with apple baskets full of apples from our trip to TN. I added simple Target Dollar Spot decor next to vintage family heirloom pieces. Jugs of delicious apple cider are ready to be enjoyed by our family and our guests. But, something was missing…our friends are an extension of our family, so I invited them over for a pie swap. Something like a cookie swap, but with homemade pies.
Each guest was sent a box of 5” pie pans, blank recipe cards, and an invitation with all the necessary info.
We gathered together to enjoy the slower season of Fall, good company, and delicious food.
I love our new seasonal tradition, and I cannot wait to host another party again soon.
