5 Uses for Cocktail Umbrellas. Summer is coming to an end, and I can confidently say I have had at least three beverages with a fun little cocktail umbrella this summer!
I can so vividly remember my first “cruise” with my Mimi as a child. We took the SeaEscape out of Port Canaveral on a one day cruise. I don’t think they offer cruises like that anymore, butt I thought I was such a hot shot going on a cruise! I became even more full of myself when I was served a fruity virgin beverage with a cocktail umbrella! What child doesn’t love cocktail umbrellas and the mini swords on drinks?
With my love of cocktail umbrellas to inspire me, I searched for fun ways to use the umbrellas outside of a drink!
Of course Martha would have no less than 100 uses for cocktail umbrellas, but I was really taken with using them as place cards for a beach wedding or party.
Another fun way to incorporate cocktail umbrellas into your party decor is to make a door wreath covered in tiny umbrellas like Family Chic did.
I would have loved to have a hair clip embellished with a tiny paper umbrella as a little girl, this one from Poca Costa is just too adorable!
The next two ideas are such a fun way to add a pop of color to your home in a totally unexpected and cost effective way!
This wall decorated with tiny umbrellas shared on Apartment Therapy is so, so fun! I wish I had a room I could do this in, but I am not sure my house of boys would approve!
I may, however be able to make an umbrella light fixture like the one shared on Craftsy.
