Easy Homemade Lemonade Recipe

Lemons Lemonade Food Tent

Easy Homemade Lemonade Recipe

It’s will be Spring and Summer before we can blink an eye, but my boys and I have been making homemade lemonade for a few weeks now. We all suffer from terrible seasonal allergies, so I am always trying to find ways to incorporate local honey in our daily diets to help alleviate some of our allergy symptoms. Our current favorite lemonade recipe includes plenty of delicious local honey and no processed sugars.

Simple Honey Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 8-10 Lemons
  • 1 C Local Honey
  • 36 Oz Water

Instructions

  1. Squeeze enough lemons to yield 12 ounces of lemon juice.

Over medium heat, dissolve honey in three cups of water. Stir constantly.

Allow the honey and water to cool, and pour over lemon juice.

    Stir in remaining water.

Pour a glass over ice and enjoy!

This fresh lemonade is a great way to add a little extra enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that your body needs, in an easy to enjoy way! Make a large jug and keep it in the refrigerator, and drink a glass over ice every day. I reuse a glass bottle from one of our local stores…I use it for everything, but this old fashioned homemade lemonade is our very favorite thing to keep in it! One of my boys REALLY loves honey, so he drank his honey lemonade from a flavored honey straw to add a little more flavor.

How great would this fresh squeezed lemonade be on your What Will it Bee Baby Shower or Bride to Bee Bridal Shower Tables?
