Dr. Seuss Library Book Bag DIY

Dr. Seuss Books

Dr. Seuss Library Book Bag DIY

As a former teacher, I can honestly tell you I love Dr. Seuss books. Each of my four boys first books were Dr. Seuss books. I love the silly, whimsical characters and made up words. I love that little kids and big kids totally immerse themselves in a made up world of Who’s, Big Dogs, Little Dogs, Horton, and a Cat in the Hat when they read the magical words of Dr. Seuss. This Dr. Seuss Book Bag could be one of my very favorite projects ever!

The perfect gift

Library Book Tote Bag

When I am invited to a baby shower or toddler’s birthday celebration, I always include a Dr. Seuss book or two with the gift. And, in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, I made a fun little Seuss inspired library book bag. This small tote bag is just the right size for independent toddlers that can do everything themselves. I love it so much, I will likely make a custom bag for each new baby shower and toddler birthday I am invited to.

Iron On:

STEP 1:

Upload the SVG into Design Space, and size to fit. Then, send the project to the machine to cut. {If you are using Iron On, don’t forget to mirror the cut, and place the Iron On on the cutting mat shiny side down}

STEP 2:

Weed the excess Iron On, and pre-heat the EasyPress. See Cricut’s recommended guidelines for time and temperature settings.

STEP 3:

If you’re applying the Iron On to fabric or canvas, put the fabric on the EasyPress Mat and press the fabric before applying the Iron On. If you are putting the Iron On on wood, you will not need to pre-heat it. Now, place the Iron On on your surface and cover it with the protective sheet. Use the EasyPress according to Cricut’s recommended guidelines. Reverse the fabric or canvas and press the backside of the design for 15-30 seconds.
