I was sent the new Cricut Maker 3 recently, and it has truly been a game changer for making oversized signs and other projects! I loved being able to use it for this DIY oversized sign project for my mom’s classroom too!
This review is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed above. I was provided the sample free of charge by the company or PR agency and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.

The Cricut Maker 3

And, there are over 300 materials available to use with this intuitive new cutting machine. Additionally, there are 13 adaptive tools that can be used with the Maker 3!
Make an Oversized Sign
Previously, when I made an oversized (larger than 18 inches) sign, I would have to slice the image and then piece it together on the sign. With the new Maker 3, I don’t have to do that anymore! And, I am SO VERY EXCITED!
My mom redecorated her classroom this year, so I thought it would be fun to make her a new sign for her class.
I had everything I needed already to create this cute little sign. But, if you don’t check out my Amazon Shop or click the links to purchase everything you need.
- Maker 3
- Smart Iron On
- Cricut EasyPress
- Sign (This is similar to what I used)
I began by creating a cut file in Cricut Design Space, and sized it to fit my project. This sign is 24×8″, so it was just slightly larger than the old Maker or Explore machines could cut.
Once I was happy with the image, I sent it to cut. I used the new Smart Iron On in black to make the sign.
After it was cut, I weeded it as normal. Then used my EasyPress Mini to press it onto the canvas sign.
This cute little sign is perfect in my mom’s classroom, but it would also be great in a nursery!
