I have two kids that love love love seafood. One kid that is highly allergic to all seafood, and one that, like me, just doesn’t care for it at all. But, we are trying to change up our dining habits a little. So, we hosted a little Patriotic Lobster Bake Party, and dropped off some delicious New England style seafood bake for our family to enjoy.
Patriotic Party Decor
Normally we do a simple seafood bake around Labor Day. But, since I already had most of our Patriotic home decor out already, I decided to throw some seafood on a pan and make a delicious dinner for my guys and family to enjoy.
I made a few of these pillows for easy patriotic decor in the house. I am waiting on some outdoor safe pillow covers to make more.
A patriotic party in a box is also a great way to celebrate with friends and family right now too!
Lobster Bake Party
We used our Lemonade Stand as a party table and decorated it with paper rosettes from My Mind’s Eye and lanterns from Oriental Trading Company. My son made a lemon cake and we added fresh berries and just a little bit of homemade vanilla frosting to the cake to bring in the colors.
We put our patio furniture on the lawn and added some pool towels to the seating. I added another lantern to the table too.
We ate outside, and to keep the mess to a minimum, we used paper plates from Oriental Trading. I added paper plates and cups to a vintage picnic basket. Each place setting was topped with a bottle of Coca Cola. It’s one of the boys favorite summer treats, and it kept the plates from blowing away in the wind.
This was a great way to kick off our Summer season!
