Winter is {almost} officially here, and this fun game is perfect for parties all season long! Two of my boys have late Winter or {very} early Spring birthdays, so outdoor parties weren’t always feasible. But, you have to keep a group of kids occupied at any party, so this DIY Winter party game is perfect for class parties, birthday parties, and even family fun nights!
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Winter Activities
Even though Florida doesn’t have snow days, we do have plenty of days where it is cold, and the kids don’t want to play outside for too long.
This Winter Activity Sheet is perfect for snow days, Winter birthday parties, and more! And, you can find loads of Totally Free Snow Day Printables in this post, including a snow day bucket list.
DIY Winter Party Game
First, you need to gather some supplies. I was able to buy everything I needed, including the sign, from the Dollar Tree. I bought three square buckets, three skeins of yarn, a few packages of large-ish sized poms, a cute little snowman, and a DIY sign.
Once you have all of your supplies, use the yard to make large poms. I have a pom making tool, but you can use your hand or a piece of cardboard too. I used half a skein of yarn for each large pom. This step is optional, but since my mom will be using this game in her classroom, I wanted to include different sensory items.
After you have all of the pom snowballs you want, set the buckets up. I would set them up about a foot apart and have the little ones toss from a few feet away. But, you can set it up to fit your little ones’ ages and needs. You can even use blue painter’s tape to make a line on the floor for the kids to stand behind.
That’s it! Super easy and so much fun.
